Sitkovetsky Trio Perform Beethoven, Shostakovich & Schumann in Keene NH

October 1 @ 7:30 pm
Free – $50
Three musicians perform on stage: a violinist dramatically playing, a cellist in mid-performance, and a pianist at a grand piano. The audience watches in silhouette from the darkened foreground.

The acclaimed Sitkovetsky Trio brings electrifying ensemble chemistry to a program of haunted drama, youthful intensity, and Romantic ardor, moving from Beethoven’s spectral imagination to Shostakovich’s compressed fire and Schumann’s late lyric urgency.

Program
Ludwig van Beethoven: Piano Trio in D major, Op. 70 No. 1, “Ghost”
Dmitri Shostakovich: Piano Trio No. 1 in C minor, Op. 8
Robert Schumann: Piano Trio No. 3 in G minor, Op. 110

Artists
Sitkovetsky Trio: Alexander Sitkovetsky – Violin, Isang Enders – Cello, Wu Qian – Piano
