Voices of Defiance: String Quartets Across Eras in Keene NH

February 5, 2027 @ 7:30 pm
Free – $50
Four people pose against a light-colored wall: two women in matching sparkly, sleeveless, maroon dresses and two men in dark blue suits with white shirts, all smiling at the camera.

The ARIS Quartet explores music of extraordinary concentration and expressive force, pairing Mozart’s severe contrapuntal mastery with Shostakovich’s wartime testimony and Beethoven’s transcendent late vision.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Adagio and Fugue in C minor, K. 546
Dmitri Shostakovich: String Quartet No. 3 in F major, Op. 73
Ludwig van Beethoven: String Quartet in A minor, Op. 132
